SOME THOUGHTS ON THE RIGHT WING

Our current political environment in this country sucks big time. The republican party is a fucking joke with the Democrats not far behind. Don't get Me wrong, I always vote Democrat, I have never voted for a republican. If Jeffery Dahmer's Ghost ran as a Democrat I'd vote for Him. I am really sick of These right wing Assholes talking about how the country is in debt and all the spending cuts needed to rescue Our sorry asses. Who put the country in this shape? Guess Who, the fucking Republicans, that's who. The fucktards on the far right refuse to own up to Their mistakes and past the blame onto the so called Liberals. Well that's fine and dandy You goddamned dick nosed slimeballs, pass the blame all You want but the truth is You are to blame. The republican party knows no shame, They will say anything to get a vote. No lie is too big. The sorry bastards spout religious garbage to the fools like the tea party crowd to gain support for Their rape and pillaging of the country and the Idiots fall for the bullshit every time. Look at the rabid Fans of Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann and You will see first class idiocy in action. The republican clown car is full to overflowing with some of the sorriest Assholes on the face of the earth. Newt Gingrich? Now that is one big piece of walking shit. The Bastard would rather lie than get a piece of ass. Mike Huckabee? One sensationally stupid hairless ape Who believes the earth was created 6,000 years ago by a sky wizard. Mitt Romney? A Moron among Fools. He's a fucking mormon, He fell for one of the most obvious cons of recent history and He thinks He's qualified for the office of President of the USA. The son of a bitch isn't qualified to clean public urinals. Tim Pawlenty? This Guy is one cold hearted cocksucker Who would throw His Own Mother off a cliff if He thought it would help Him and His rich Buddies get richer. And of course there's Sam Brownback, Our newly elected Governor of the state of kansas. What a sleaseball, The son of a bitch is a greedy self serving bastard Who would do away with every program designed to help People if He had His way. He calls Himself Pro Life so as to get the votes of the Idiots Who like to hear shit like that. Pro Life My Honky Ass, the son of a bitch would poison every Homeless Person and Undocumented immigrant in the state if He thought He could get away with it. Fuck Him. In fact, fuck'em all.

ON OUR WAY DOWN

As I post this latest rant it is 29 degrees out, cold to be sure but not near as cold as a Conservative's heart. The republicans in the House are intent on getting their horrid budget cuts. It should be plain as daylight what the plan is. Cut any government funded program that helps People. The Conservatives don't like education except for the wealthy greedy Assholes that make up the republican leadership, this means not only politicians but, the corporate crooks like the odious Koch brothers, Rupert Murdoch, the Bushes and all the other lowlifes Who prey on the Citizens of this country.

These creatures cannot stand the thought of an educated Public, which of course is why they purpose cuts in public school funding. They would rather the common Folks be home schooled or church schooled in some mentally challenged creationist atmosphere. If possible The Republican Assholes will do away with NPR and PBS because The slime balls hate any questioning or critical thinking in the voting Public. It doesn't take much to see how well this works out for the Republican Party. Look at the likes of Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, the list goes on and on. The Republican Party loves Dumb Shits, ignorance, and evangelical christians. Not that most of the elected Republicans are so religious but They know that Religious fanatics can easily be coerced into voting against Their Own interest almost every time. All the bullshit about abortion, evolution, American exceptionalism, the claim that the USA is mandated by bible god to lead ( rule ) the world, all of that Horse shit is aimed at the People of this country that are incapable of thinking critically. The Republican Party cannot tolerate scepticism.

Scepticism bad, belief in absurdities good. Science bad, belief in sky wizard good. Facts and truth bad, lies and half truths, good. Where else in the western hemisphere except here in the USA could the likes of Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, or Sarah Palin be taken seriously? I don't hate the People who fall for the bullshit coming from the Republican Party, I don't hate the Tea Party Types. They are scary though because They vote and They would crawl through raw sewage and fight chainsaws to get to the polls. No, I don't hate Them, I just can't understand Them. They can't be reasoned with, Facts mean nothing to Them and the truth is whatever They happen to be told to believe by the Ones Who would do Them the most harm. To that way of thinking, abortion in a sterile setting by a trained Physician is murder, while bombing and killing People Who have done Us no harm is defending Our freedoms. Polluting the air, water and land is progress, while Government regulations put in place in an attempt to stop the poisoning of the Planet is communism. It's sad but true, the Tea Party and evangelical christians are going to get fucked right along with the rest of Us and They can't see it coming. They see the enemy in all the wrong places. They have been led to believe that it is the Liberals, Gays, Immigrants and Atheists Who are out to take away Their rights so They vote for the very Ones Who will take what rights They do have. It's fucking insane and getting worse. I think We're circling the bowl and on Our way down.

IT"S STARTED

The Republicans in the House of Representatives have been very busy lately. They are proposing some pretty hefty budget cuts for domestic spending under the banner of " The People Have Spoken." I Myself don't believe that shit for one minute. They seem to think that because of Their gains in the 2010 elections that They now have the support of the majority of the Population. BULLSHIT, Ask the People most effected by the cuts They would like to implement and see how much support there is.

The bill They came up with calls for big cuts in spending for domestic programs such as, schools and heating and housing subsidies for the Poor. In an attempt to cripple the EPA the bill calls for slashing it's budget. Ya see These Bastards don't like regulations on business and industry, They see poisoning the Environment and wrecking the Ecosystem preferable to regulating greenhouse gases and mercury emissions and such. The bill also targets Planned Parenthood because of anti-choice Loonies. When it comes to abortion These hypocritical Fuckers seem to love regulations.

Hopefully, the Senate will shoot this piece of shit bill down for the time being at least. But the Conservative Bastards will try again and again to shit on the People of this country. It looks like the Mad Hatters of the Tea Party have taken over and won't be happy until They've pretty well fucked everything up.

FEARING ALL THE WRONG THINGS

Those on the right know that fear can be a great motivator. Make People afraid and They will flock to You for protection seems to be the Republican way of thinking. What do We have to fear? Well according to Conservatives, plenty. You know, like just about everything and Everybody, Everybody not white that is. Look at the Tea Party for example, here are a bunch of scared White Folks. They're scared to death of the Black Man in the white house, They're scared of all the Liberals and Commies and Socialists. Shit, most of these Tea Party Types wouldn't know a Socialist if One bit Them on Their fat ass.
A few years ago it was the Orientals We feared. I used to hear all the time how the Gooks were going to take all the jobs away from good patriotic White Americans. I heard all about how the Government gave every Gook ( Gook meaning Anyone from southeast asia ) Who came to this country a brand new car for free. I also heard how none of Them had to pay federal income tax. Of course it was all bullshit but some People were convinced that it was all true. Now days It's the Mexicans Who are going to take all the jobs away from the Natural Born ( White ) Americans. And the Muslims? Nothing scarier than a fucking Muslim. Every goddamned Muslim is a Terrorist just waiting for the real Patriots of this Nation to turn Their backs for one second so They can reek havoc on Our shopping malls.
I could go on and on and on about this shit. I say FUCK IT, I don't give a flying fuck whether or not Someone is in this country illegally. I have had Friends that I knew were what We call undocumented today. Did I care? No I didn't and still don't. Oh but Those Mexicans bring drugs into this country, says a Guy I know. Well, BIG FUCKIN' DEAL, lots of People bring drugs into this country and They damn sure ain't all Mexicans. If the lawmakers here would get Their heads out of Their asses and take a gander at what reality looks and at least decriminalize drugs They would be taking a big step towards fixing the perceived problem, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Jesus christ we've become a nation of Pussies. We're scared of just about everything. Let some mentally challenged asshole like Glen Beck spout some crap about His latest theory of how Liberals are plotting to take over the good old USA and all the faithful Fox "News" Listeners shit all over Themselves and buy more ammunition and gold bullion. One Kid falls out of a certain brand of baby crib and the company recalls a kazillion of them.
The fact that Our jails and prisons are overflowing is a testament to just how scared this bunch of Sheep are. I personally know at least a dozen People Who have done time for possession or sales or maybe intent to sell Marijuana. What the fuck? Did These people present a threat to the law biding Citizens of this great nation? NO, but We are so scared of shadows We support locking up Anyone Who We think could even remotely do Us harm and We either bomb the shit out of "em or lock 'em up and forget 'em. And Gay People?
Well We've got to be especially scared of Gay People because They have an Agenda. Yeah that's right, an agenda. What the deal is, They ( the Gays ) Want the USA to be a Gay Nation. They want to teach Our Kids to be Gay. FUCK YOU AGAIN You fucking idiots. There is no Gay agenda. All that is being asked for is to be treated the same under the law as any other citizen of this country, and that includes You, You fat assed geriatric Morons Who populate the fucking Tea Party. Damn there are things out there a lot more worthy of fear than whether or not Obama is a christian or a muslim. Take the fact that We create gobs of trash but can't get rid of it. How about Us fucking hairless Apes unleashing poison gases into the atmosphere, polluting the ground water, bombing the shit out of People Who's only crime is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Be afraid of the fact that We are trashing the oceans, be afraid that there are about six billion more of Us than the Planet can successfully support. And be very afraid of the fact that most of Us don't get any of this. But don't tell Me to be afraid of Mexicans.

Ain't that the truth? Here in Kansas We don't have to look any further than the Governor's mansion to see proof of this. Our new Governor, Sam Brownback hit the ground running. As soon as He took office He rolled up the sleeves of His expensive shirt and started in working mischief on the state. Sam Brownback's proposal to eliminate the " Kansas Arts Commission" has met with some protest. Now I actually cant comment too much about the Arts Commission because I don't know anything about it. It stands to reason though that an ultra conservative weeny like Gov. Brownback would be against anything artsy except maybe religious art. Can't have enough religious art don't Ya know. S. B. is all for reducing regulations on the cattle and other industries. Now I was under the assumption that these regulations were in place for reasons of health and safety. " Our " Sammy couldn't care less about health or safety as long as He and His rich Pals are safe and healthy. His goal is economic growth no matter what the cost to the environment and ecosystem. Sam is a great supporter of business as long as it is corporate business. If some poor Slob want's to sell barbeque from His or Her's house He or She has to get a license and jump through several hoops in order to do so. What happens is it becomes very expensive. You have to have separate facilities for cooking and food preparation, which usually involves spending more money than a person has. So what happens? I'll tell You what happens, what started out as a plan to get a little extra money coming in gets shot out of the saddle by state regulations. Now why doesn't S.B. propose reducing these regulations so as to make it easier for poor households to make a little money to help pay expenses? Because that is not big business, that is average People and Sam Brownback DOES NOT CARE about the average working Man or Woman, He cares only about the Rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. The poorer We get the less education We get, and the less education We get, The more votes the Republicans get.
Sammy is also all for rural development, which means trashing more unpopulated areas and more pollution of the Air and Ground water and more hardship on Wildlife. His goal is the same as The other Conservatives, to mold the population into corporate Slaves Who will work for whatever Massa throws Us. This is just My opinion, but Sam Brownback is one sorry SOB.

TOMMY

Well I see it's been over a year since I posted anything. Damn, have I been that lazy? I'm going to make an effort to post something every day if I possibly can. I've been writing some short fiction and may start sharing those. Now I'm not a great Writer or even close, but I enjoy doing it.
My Friend Tommy came by Our house last May. I hadn't seen Him in about Two years. He had been living in K.C. where His Son and He were buying a house. We made plans to get together with some old Friends on Aug. 13th and make a weekend of it, which We did. He had to get back to Kansas City the following Wed. He came by the house on His way out of Town and We agreed to keep in touch with Each Other and the old Gang.
Tommy was back down in Dec. He wanted to spend christmas with His Cousin John Who was recovering from a bout with cancer. We got together a couple of times over the Holidays and had a good time, drinking beer and bullshitin". We talked like Old Farts do about Old Friends and past Friends and Times gone by. He had to get back home right after the first of the year, I think it was the third of Jan. He left Town. I talked to Him on the phone once after that.
I got a call on or around the 17th of Jan. telling Me that Tommy had slipped on the ice and broke His leg. It was bad enough that He had to be taken to surgery. The next day I called His ex Wife and asked how He was doing, She told Me that He was in really bad shape. It seems that the surgery went fine, the problem was, He didn't wake up. He developed a brain infection and pneumonia and wasn't responding to anything. He died Jan. 28. He went into the hospital with a goddamned broken leg and came out toes up. I realize I don't have all the details so I can't judge the hospital staff, but shit, it makes Me wonder.
Anyway Tommy was a good Guy and a very good Friend and I'll miss Him. I'll tell You how good a Friend He was. Tommy was very right wing politically and and avid fox "news" fan. I knew He held conservative views but I didn't realize just how far right He was until one night last Dec. We were talking about something completely unrelated to politics When the 10:00 O'clock news came on. I wasn't paying much attention to the tv but I did hear something about illegal immigrants and that started Him off. I don't remember what all He said, but He was talking about fox "news" being the only "news" source that told the truth about what was going on and how Sean Hannity had the best program going. I tried to change the subject but He just kept going on with this right wing bullshit. I finally lost it and went into a real fucking rant about how I spit on fox, I spit on Sean Hannity, I spit on Your flag, I spit on the republicans and the fucking tea party. well, You get the idea. Tommy took a sip of bourbon, smiled and said, " well, I guess now We know where We stand, so what say We call a truce." We never mentioned that episode again. It made Me think though. At the time all the political crap seemed important to Me. Now, not so much. At the funeral I was thinking that all the Left Wing, Right Wing bullshit is just that, bullshit. When it comes to Individuals, Friendship should win out over all. If I had it to do over again I would have handled it differently and not flew off the handle. We could have talked about Our differences and maybe Both of Us would have gotten some insight. We were on different sides of the fence for sure, but He was, Above all else My Friend. RIP TOMMY.

Well Sarah Palin is in the news again. I suppose everybody knows She has written a book. I am sure that the actual writing was done by Someone else because She's not smart enough to actually string words together into sentences that make sense. I haven't read it yet, but I think I'd like too. If for nothing else just to see what the ravings of a far right wing Nutso sounds like. I'm sure that I couldn't get all the way through it but maybe it might be fun to try. I seems so strange to Me that a crazy Bitch like Her can have any fans at all let alone those Who will wait in line all night in freezing weather just to attend a book signing. Hell I wouldn't walk across the street to see Her jump backwards through Her asshole. Anyway if I can some how manage to get a free copy somewhere ( I sure don't want to give out good money for it ) I'm going to make an attempt to read the damn thing. I'm thinking maybe the library will get a copy but I'd be ashamed to let let Anyone see Me check it out.
